    I'm having a friend carry a few choice bottles of juice from the states. Since i have heard thai customs is tightening ship, anyone have recent experiences hand carrying juice through thai customs? Is there a certain amount i should not go over in terms of ml? Any advice or thoughts on this matter would be much appreciated.

    No recent experience, but the correct answer to this question is zero.

    As for past experience, customs has never ask to look in my bags. However, if they do, currently all government agencies are being held to task to follow the letter of the law.
    Which would be this one:
    The 1926 Customs Act, which prohibits persons from bringing untaxed products into the Kingdom and is punishable with a fine that is four times the value of the product plus import tax and/or up to 10 years in jail.

    A number of people up here have been hit with this law crossing the Thai/Laos border carrying in over one carton of cigarettes.
    They were told to pay FOUR TIMES the value (which the customs officer determined) of all cigarettes over the one carton limit or go to jail.
    (And all cigarettes except one carton were confiscated).
    :not good:

    Right now I personally wouldn't chance it.
    Make sure your friends aware of the law and has enough cash on him. let us know how it goes.

    The other law:
    The 1992 Tobacco Products Control Act, which prohibits the import and sale of cigarette-like products, with violators facing a fine of up to Bt20,000;

    and if you want to just bring in the stuff to mix your own juice, they got that covered too under this law:
    The 1967 Medicine Act, which prohibits the manufacturing, sale and import of modern medical products, with violators facing up to five years in prison and a Bt10,000 fine;
