Hello fellow vapers! I have been away from E-cigarettes since 2009, and now I want to give it a new try, because I've become addicted to regular cigarettes again. :)

After hours of reading, I have decided to order the Joyetech EVic Mini Express Kit from Gearbest. (This one: Original Joyetech EVic Mini Express Kit-47.75 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com )

I understand that this is a complete kit, containing everything I need to start vaping. However, I also understand that there are still lots of extra parts (?) that I can buy for it. Tanks, mods, e.t.c, e.t.c, and I'm having a hard time to understand all these extras, and why I would need them. :s

If you bought this kit today, what extra parts would you order for it, and what is their function(s)?

Please help a lost soul to complete his shopping list. :)

P.S. One extra question. It looks like I'm gonna have to order this from abroad (import it to Thailand from China). Any risks or problems with this, since vaporizers are banned here?

Not so much 'banned' but they are a banned import or sell item but 'ok' to have for personal usage
Still a 'dark' area in the whole thing really, but this is Thailand innit

As long as you get stuff shipped in small quantities and with just regular airmail then the possibility of getting it is still high, just never use any of the 'express' shipping such as DHL, Fed-Ex and so on, they won't get in

Not really up to speed on these mods, as others are on here, But the only thing you would need that I can see are extra coils for the tank, good battery (Sony VTC, LGHE2 LGHE4, LG HG2 or Samsung - personally I would get 2 or 3 so that you have one in use, one charged and ready to go and one on the charger, and a good charger. These items would most likely be available from the vendors on this site in Thailand. (The batteries are assuming that it has an external battery and not an internal Lipo battery) And juice of course. Again available from the forum vendors.

There are a few members on the forum that are using this mod and I am sure they will come along and correct any errors I have made in the info I have given you.

    Good luck

    And welcome

Thanks for the information. Looks like the "ban" is less serious than I thought. I thought it was as serious as the ban on cannabis. :D

Thank you! :) Sounds great. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the extra coils and batteries. Gonna add these to my shopping list.

    Thanks! I'll contact him.

Hi and welcome to TV. I really like the VTC Mini, even though I'm vaping MTL at 10-15 watts, no clouds. The build is very solid for the price, and it has the best display I've seen on a mod.
Personally, I'd get a few spare tanks, clones are fine, because you'll be trying a lot of juices until you settle on your favourites. It was a bit of a pain when I had one mod, one tank, one battery at the start.
I like the mini Nautilus and the Kabuki clone, (which uses the same coils). I have three Kanger Emow clones for flavour testing. Dirt cheap at around 6$ from FT, and the coils are only 5.20 for five.
If you are going into sub-ohm and clouds, please ignore the above, many others here can advise you on that.

Thanks Mick! Glad to be here. :)

Very nice information. I'll make sure to get a couple of extra tanks and batteries!

But I wonder what you mean with "no clouds". Is the VTC Mini not good at making clouds? I understand if this is desirable for some users, but I really dig the clouds. I want big clouds, so maybe I should look for another kit?

Hi Ragnar. What I meant by "no clouds" is that I'm not after them, and happy with low wattage tootlepuffing. With 75 watts and a good sub ohm coil, you should get great clouds. Just check out the forums here. Someone will have the answer, or you'll find a link. Incidentally, check the posts of your fellow Swede @a-spirit to see how far and fast you can go.

Thed mod doesn't make the clouds the tank and coils do that. The mod powers them, and 75W is plenty to get started on clouds.Generally speaking you want a sub ohm tank for clouds and there are some that have pre-made coils to do just that. First off though I would suggest getting started with this and learning about sub-ohm tanks, coil building and batteries and ohms law. Once you are comfortable with that then look in to getting the clouds. But that is me. I am a bit of a cloud fear myself and feel it's better to have a good knowledge base bdefore you buy the gear for making the clouds.

75 watts and the right tank will be great for clouds. What I meant was that the VTC Mini is good even at low wattage. Others here can tell you about sub-ohming and cloud chasing. Check out your fellow Swede's posts, @a_spirit.
Oops, a repeat post. Thought I'd lost the first one.

I have the same mod, my friend just bought the mod with the Tron tank. It's a good choice like @farrangmick said. It'll do sub ohm coils so you can do decent clouds. If you want more clouds then higher VG in your liquid, or get an RDA, all RDAs should fit. Nothing to stop you buying other tanks also, Tron tank may not be to your tastes. eVic mini will do up to 75w which I'm running dual coil Griffin RTA off of, @ 60W ... One can go above 75w with mods, but for most "modest" vapers, isn't a day to day requirement. I chose eVic mini, and kanger subox for small size and replaceable batteries.

Nitecore and xtar are good for battery chargers, I have nitecore D4, and xtar vc2 plus master, just ordered another vc2 basic - make sure it's authentic. And the usual household name authentic batteries ... My friend bought 4 bats with his Tron kit, I have 4 now and will probably buy another 2 or 4.

Local vendors are best if they have items in stock, no wait time and no playing roulette with customs ... big, tienga and Micky, check their shops on this forum.

And lastly, if you're DIY minded look into RBAs, building your own coils, wicking etc, for economy, tailoring things how you want and geek factor.

    PS welcome to TV.

I think what the are trying to tell you is that you really don't need big clouds / sub-ohming / cloud chasing to stop your craving from cigarettes.

You will save a lot of e-juice and exposure to VG and PG if you vape between the 10 and 15 watts with an Aspire Nautilus or other attys that don't need a lot of watts to operate.

If you just want vape to stop smoking, go for a low wattage / high ohm coil. If you want to have a lot of vapor / big clouds go for high wattage / sub-ohming, but stay save and get informed and understand the dangers and choose the best battery that can let you operate such a device safely!

Thanks everyone for all the information! You are very helpful. :) What a nice forum this is.

Feels like I understand a lot more now, but I'm gonna keep reading. One can never know too much. :)

... yeah, one doesn't need a 12 coil setup with 215w to be satisfied ... Kanger Subox Mini kit (which is very similar to eVic kits), works fine for me, and included over-ohm coil, which I didn't personally get on with, too much sucking for too little reward ... So I guess I do like moderate clouds ... it's whatever works really for the OP for quitting smoking, and possibly his new hobby, vaping ...

You're welcome :) Research will save you time and money, and help avoid gear that isn't right for you, or is just shyte to start off with. The kits work out as a reasonable starting point, whilst research is going on.

The ban is on the import/sale of vape gear & juice. It is very real and the reason there are no longer any B&M vape shops in Thailand (forced to close). Several members have had their incoming shipments seized, hence the suggestion only to use (registered) air mail.

PS - Big is out of the VTC Mini Kit but Tienga has one that includes the Tron tank. ;)
