illegal to import into Thailand - personally I would feel better with it in my main luggage rather than carry on. Some people get away with it but it can be confiscated.

Let us know how you get on.

For personal use you can take your vape gear with you to Thailand.

You can take you mod (turned off) with you in your carry-on baggage. Only make sure that your spare batteries are in protective storage cases.

I forgot about the juices, these can be brought too. In a sealed plastic bag in your carry-on. A bottle with juice should be less than 100 ml each and I read somewhere that it should not be more than 500 ml for personal use, but that has never been confirmed.

@Konvict - thanks for answers on this, very useful. To be clear, you're saying it's legal to bring vaping equipment including juice into Thailand provided it's for personal use? Does that include juices that contain nic? What are your sources for this info?

Nothing is written down in this regard...it's all grey. We know for certain that the import/sale of vape gear & e-juice is prohibited. We have reports of members selected for screening at Swampy customs...when their vape gear was found, the BIB looked at it and then allowed the member to pass. We've not had any reports of anything being seized upon arrival.

Thanks so much for your answers. I was worried because I looked online and it was very grey and not much recent info. I'll let you know how I go

@Siam Diesel, thanks for clarifying :)

@Flick, by the sounds you'll be OK. What's worked for me in Thailand is to smile, even under pressure. Be polite and courteous if customs ever do stop you. And realise that the same thing may be presented in two different ways, for instance "protein supplement powder" could be just that, ie food, or as the Thai guy at lost luggage told me after British Airways mislaid my suitcase, "medicines".

Or another story I was told about a spearfishing "GUN", which was successfully cleared through the airport, after being quickly and thoughtfully downgraded by it's owner to a "fishing rod" from "gun" which had raised some eyebrows and rung some alarm bells.

You get the idea, I'm sure.

I'm here and no problems at all. I had a little shoulder bag with my gear in nano system pulled apart and battery separated in a container no worries at all

Harder going through Australian security to leave Australia than what it was going through Thai airport
