1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

wanted to ask the long term vapers here if i am at a undergoing process atm, and if that will pass or not,
everything which is not in RDA i simiply dont like anymore at all, it still makes sense to have a few others in case i go out, but i didnt enjoy the most non RDA vapes since quite some time now.

So you guys think this time will pass, or will it stay that i like only RDA?
cause if the last one would be the case i would prolly go for a major blowout clearance sale of my non RDA attys.

I agree with vapermorphe and yourauntbob, but im stuck on RBA, my RDA is not working but have a Storm A in the post and need to drill out my V12 which only has 2 mill outside hole and 3 1.5 mil inside holes, still playing though.

I also cannot see myself going back. Drippers are where it's at, and the Kayfun is nice for convenience (although it's less convenient to build on). Between those two, it's all I need and want. Planning to pick up some new RDAs soon too.

For me, never thought I would actually get down the KayFun route but like it. I will never buy a dripper no matter how amazing the flavour is because it's not fitting for me. I spent more time out than in and when I'm in I just want to relax with a movie or whatever and have a tank system to grab when I want.

yep for traveling around i wouldnt like to have a RDA and juice with me all of the time, the 3D RDA is not a real solution for that one imho, from all the RBA i still like the Aqua a lot and kinda funny i like the dirty cheap Rocket way more then any of the Kayfuns... but overall it seems that any RDA is better then any RBA for me,

i thought its some process i went thru and i ll eventually return to the RBA, but whenever i give it a go i wonder what i ever liked on it and without realizing i ll suck on on RDA again after just a few minutes.

I hated any kind of tank systems since the day I started vaping. I always felt that it takes too much trouble to wash it, soak it, clean it, dry it and rebuilding it. Especially when I get a new juice order and have so many flavours to try, a RDA is so much more convenient. A RDA has good flavour, good vapor and looks good on any PV. The only advantage of a tank system over a RDA is the juice that it can hold, other than that, I can't think of any.

The problem with most vapers is that many of us are so afraid to leave our comfort zone. Until someone else comes by and let us try something that is better than what we actually have, we usually just stick to what we know best.

I guess I'm going to have to play devils advocate here.

I love dripping, and I try to push my own limits whenever I get the chance, but I haven't forgotten where I came from. CE4's and Protanks may not do it for me anymore, but they're a hell of a big step up from the cigalikes I first tried back in 2008. I have some pretty decent gear now, but I'd still go buy a 400 baht eGo kit if I was headed somewhere I thought the good stuff might get broken or taken away.

Besides the clearos, my Kayfuns taste just about the same as my IGO-L at my usual 9 watts, so the Kayfun wins hands down in that category. Hell, I'd go back to my single coil Genesis if it was between that and the IGO-L.

My drippers right now are set up between 15 and 60 watts, and they are great at what they do. They are a huge pain in the ass though, and at this point I'm starting to wonder if I can't get the same performance out of my Kraken or Pulse-G if I wick it right. A Genesis is just a dripper with a tank and a hole in the bottom of the deck. Even as I'm typing this my mind is running through wick setups, so you may start to see some high-wattage gennys in the coil porn thread here real soon.

Anyway, back on point, sell whatever you don't think you'll use anymore, I'm sure someone will buy it. Hmm, I wonder if I can drill out an iClear....

I do love advanced rebuildables. And yes, I have very little interest in non-rebuildables. I hate the Kanger style bottom coils. Easier to replace coils yes. However, consistently give burning taste. However, with that said, I am still keeping the vivi novas around. They are idiot proof and durable. The Kayfuns and drippers work great--that is when they are working. The set up is kind of time consuming. If you are on the road/travelling/going out for the evening (whatever), and something goes wrong with the Kayfuns--you are going to have to wait to go home (and use your tools for the coiling) to go fix it. A vivi nova still works reasonably well, and I carry spare vivis in case one of my main tanks fails. If anything happens to it...well it's just a vivi nova. It doesn't taste or vape as good as other tanks...but it is a reliable system.

I got rid of 90% of my non rebuildable stuff (i.e. clearos) when I moved from Korea to Thailand. I still keep a couple of ego twists and a couple of evods. I used them recently-ish when I lost my intellicharger and was suddenly unable to use my mechs. I have rebuilt the evod heads with cottonn/kanthal though so they are nicer than stock.

RBA v RDA: I'm happy using both whether in or out. Like Ryan my drippers are lower res (0.25-0.5) and my tanks are 0.8-1.2. Both serve me well every day. The tank is more mellow and much more convenient for a stealth-vape at work, or a quick toot. The dripper is a fuller and deeper experience but requires me to either be stationary (at home etc) or vape it dry-ish before putting it back in my pocket. There's also a lot of times when I don't want that much vapor. Right now I am still waking up and it's Taifun time. Most times I will have the Taifun and a dripper with me. In total probably drip 65%, tank 35%

Gone off Kayfuns a bit but yet to really explore the new 3.1 or nano kit that I got last week.

There is no reason you couldn't have a changeable coil system that is every bit as good as a dripper...they just haven't made one yet.
