1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

This vid is very revealing. Clones abound everywhere; some great, some good, some totally suck. As we've all experienced, the battery issue can be rather daunting in terms of getting good and reliable performance as opposed to a well-rehersed sales pitch and poor performance. The reviewer goes through a technically correct exercise in determining claimed specs versus what is real and verifiable on accurate test eqipment. It's kinda shocking when you consider the potential for thinking you're getting something of good quality and ending up with shit instead.

The thing is--everyone is familiar with Ultrafire and avoid them at all costs--it would have been nice if he'd tested a couple of decent brands [although he did test the laptop battery--which could have been, what, Sony or LG possibly??]

Well, ok... I am now using the brown LG Hg2 18650s and not getting what I'd consider great longevity on my single battery mods. I swap cells 3x/day. Supposedly, these Panasonics are even better than even the Sony versions due to their hybrid internals. I still have my doubts about the Nitecore Intellicharger i4, but Siam Diesel loves her XTAR. I'm kinda drawn to the Opus BT-c3100 v2.2.

Aside from this, I'm running both my VT40 and my SX Mini M with Smok TV4 attys and a single coil R1 deck, built withe two Ni200 28g 2.5mm coils. That might be the longevity issue, but because of the wicking and vaping efficiency, I'm only running 350°F at a modest 20 joules with excellent flavor and a good hit. With its triple battery pack, the VT200 holds some interest in terms of longevity, but I doubt I'll ever need the higher wattage capacity. When I get back to MY, my guys at Vape Kirin have the VT200s in stock and I'll give them a look and feel test and see if it's a comfortable option as well as a fiddle-factor reducer. We'll see, as I head back down in a week.

Yeah, haybilly... The pink ones are the pits. The yellow ones aren't bad, but the brown LG's are certainly the best of the three so far. Thanks!

I'm sure it was an honest mistake. This is Thailand. You can never be too sure.

And, for those of you in Chiang Mai, I'm headed up that way at the beginning of November with the little lady. Hoping to get a vape meet sorted for Saturday afternoon, 7 November. Will post up something in the next day or so. Is there anyplace that would be a good location? PM me, please...don't want to hijack this thread (any more that we've already done). ;)

Shit. I love meet ups. I'm only in CM until 30 October. Meanwhile, if anyone wants to hook up for a coffee and a vape, I love Coffee Time on the corner near Chiang Mai Gate. Locally grown and roasted in-house. Some of the best coffee I've had in Thailand... Very much into cycling as well. PM me if interested

To be honest--I've never been to a 'Vape-Meet' [I know sad, eh, i lead a sheltered existence....] but, on the subject of such, do the premises need to allow vaoing [hard to find] or does everyone just sit in the garden of said establishment--I guess I've answered my own question there, really.
