think i read somewhere you can soak your used atominizer in Vodka or Gin overnight and it can then be used again for a while

    is this true ?

I think you mean a used coil (the atomizer is the tank into which the coil is inserted)...you can soak those in vodka and then rinse in hot water and let dry. This works for some people but I've never had much luck doing this. No harm in trying, though. ;)

No problems as long as you rinse it well and let it dry.

I fire up my coils and submerge them in water. Works like a treat

But then you miss drinking the vodka afterwards. :D

First I pour myself a couple of fingers of vodka in a glass, then I fire up the coils and drink the vodka while the coils are cooling down. Then I don't remember firing the coils. Then I pour another vodka and fire the coils and so on and so on ad nauseam... Usually the coils will be clean when I wake up next day.

Wanna get your coils clean? Fire 'em up and dunk 'em in Everclear of 151. Oh yeah!*

*Do NOT actually do this. The alcohol will explode and give you severe burns. This comment is my poor attempt at humor. Again, do NOT actually try this!

I remember Rip Trippers on youtube using grain alcohol to clean coil heads but I have no idea whether you can find grain alcohol in Thai

I pull the cotton, set aside mod and wipe with some baby wipe to get an remaining grease or germs, rinse atty in water, dry, put atty back on the mod to burn off any crud, while still hold I carefully just the atty under water and if needed brush with an old toothbrush.

If I have tons of time, I will ultrasonic them for about 25 minutes. They come out crisp. My wife and I got an ultra sonic free when we purchased something else.

I've got one but it sits idle collecting dust. Haven't bought any new attys in so long...no need to use the ultra sonic cleaner on existing ones...soap & water works just fine.
