    Hi guys,

I just got the Aspire Nautilus from a friend who is not using it anymore.

I putted a new coil in it but it seems that there is a problem: the juice doesn't seem to go in the coil...

I don't know why but it looks like the liquid does not go inside the holes of the BDC coil...

Anybody had that kind of problem before ?

    Thanks for your help.

I let it rest with the juice in it for at least 15 minutes but the inside of the coil is still immaculate white...

So you are sure you are actually getting power to the coil for heating (you get a dry hit/burning type hit) and you have looked and the coil itself is dry? That sounds odd (coil is too dry or something?) especially if brand new and taken out of a blister seal pack...try putting some drops into the top of the coil...I always put a couple in when replacing a new one....might help prime yours to draw the juice in the tank after assembly. Screw it all the way in securely. It could also just be a defective new coil.

I putted some juice inside the coil and it seems to work so far.

Thanks for your help guys :)

I don't know is mine is defective but the airflow controller is SO hard to turn...

Beside that, great vape so far !

Really glad to hear it's working better for you! The airflow controller really shouldn't be hard to turn at all. Following may be possible: Model you have is a clone and not a genuine Aspire; it has a manufacturing issue; it had been dropped or dinged at some point.

I would estimate that my BVC coils usually last for a little less than a couple weeks worth of usage but longer than that in practice as I use many different mods and attys. I know others like PattsVaper has a successful routine of cleaning and extending use of BVC coils so he can use his much longer. You can search the forum for his info about that.

Thanks Scratchy ! I vaped for 4 days on my Nautilus.

But i was wrong again... it was indeed a BDC (saw the dual coil when i opened it) but looked like a BVC from the outside...

The same coil as in this video: (sorry french vid)

I tried to do the same but failed miserably...

Anyway, i ordered 2 BDC from Tieng's shop and will try to rebuild as in RIP Trippers vidz.

BDC may be easier to rebuild than BVC but I am not sure since I do not rebuild mine. I and most others familiar with both types would recommend the BVC coils over the BDC in stock setup. They are much better IMO.

When I used BDC coils, they used to last me about a week or so. Now that I use the BVC coils (there's a screen over the top that isn't present on the BDC coils), I get at least a month or so out of them. I've got one tank that I use every day that has been going for 2 months (as did the coil before it). This post has a snapshot of the coil life I'm getting in my Nauts & N-Mini's (Calling All Nautilus Mini owners ! | Page 2 | Thailand Vapers). YMMV
The difference is night and day!
These folks sell a rebuild kit for the Nautilus: Re-buildable Coil for the Aspire Nautilus - Vapenquit.co.uk. Pretty easy to use and once you have the plastic tool, you just have to drill out 2 of the holes in the stock coils to 2.25mm and you can make as many as you like.

bdc coils are easy to rebuild ive done many,, but,,, the problem is when you take the main cover off the coil, inside that is a fine paper like guaze or whatever it is this is what soaks up the juice and then soaks the wicking material, the trouble is once the coil is built and you push that top cap of the coil into place the paper like guaze gets squashed up and it floods every time,, ive tried rip trippers way a few times, and its hit and miss,, final say is dont bother i like a challenge but this beat me and im pretty good at coil builds,,,, good luck...

Just received 2 BVC coils from Tieng...

Disappointed as they absolutely don't fit in my Nautilus...

    :unbelievable:

EDIT: So yeah, it seems normal that it doesn't fit as the BDC (left coil) is way bigger and screw hitself at the bottom AND at the top and it has a larger bottom than the BVC (right coil)...
