1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

in my desperate struggle to get another good device powerfull as the SVD i figured there arent tooo much afterall,
so wanted to know if any of you guys got the eVic, seen it here for 2900 THB - OVALE Asia :: Authorized OVALE Electronic Cigarette eLiquid / eJuice Dealer
however comparing the price with the Vamo V5 or the SVD i would actually expect a lot better for the additional money .... hence the question if anybody here has it and would recommend it?

I don't have it, but I've read reviews. No, you're not getting anything for the extra money. Just get another SVD, you can't beat the value for the price.

I physically compared the Evic to my Vamo (which I have stopped using in favor of mechanicals). With the Evic you are getting fancy software that is supposed to monitor and adjust to your vaping style, and you get passthrough ability which Vamo does not have. On the other hand, physically examining the Evic, I felt it was very flimsy material that would not survive the daily abuse I would give to it. A SS Vamo, on the other hand, you could probably use it to bash someone's skull in and it would still work.

I have seen some reviews of it, but what impressed me was a Swiss Rewiever who har 3 e-vics all not working saying that Joyetec is making some fine small devices like ego's But for bigger devices he was not impressed. But he thought that Innokin had some better quality build mods, like the I taste 134, SVD and so on. I therefore have no desires for en Evic.

I sold my MVP, I wasn't a big fan of it. Limited wattage range, wobbles when you set it on the table, weird button location, and I don't like the menu. On the plus side, it puts out pure voltage instead of PWM, has a good battery life, and can charge your phone.

I have the VTR v1. A few teething problems with them such as the rotating wheel and the ohm meter, but the wheel has been fixed and the ohm reader has apparently been fixed up, although I don't know this from experience. I like the VTR but like alot of the VV/VW it is not suited to dual coil on an RBA because of the low amp regulation built in. Only other problem is the inset tank mount limiting the number of tanks that fit it without the extension. Check what you use if this may be a worry for you. I have heard people have cut the top ring off and that solves the worst of the fitting tank worries, but it is not somwthing I would do personally.

As I generally only use RBA's and a dripper now I use the extension all the time when itis in use.

i use a VTR at home daily and have no problems with it. I also use the extension exclusively so tanks are not an issue for me.

I have a VTR version 1, and my problem now is that sometimes the VTR won't fire and tells me i have no tank attached. A little bit of twistin the wheel , screwing it a bit from side to side normally fix it, so I can still use it, and I use it a lot too.

I also bought a VTR version 2 second hand, and that one ist steady as a rock no problems at all thanks to the fixed wheel. I also use this one a lot.

I also bought the belt carrying case from Micky, so I can transport the VTR's on my belt, when i go out. I still find that I can use a lot of tanks on the VTR's without using the adaptor, also the Kanger Aero tank fit nicely, and as i know it can even be used for sub Ohming down to 0.8 Ohm.

If you can i would recomment the VTR in the new version with the fixed wheel, it works more stable and you don't have to do the wheel twisting from time to time, when you remove the tank and place another.

I use a taifun GS which fits perfectly with my VTR. Very good for going out and about if you don't mind the weight. The only drawback is that the air hole on my GS would be facing outwards when it's fully screwed on (my VTR is the new version), and the way I hold the VTR for firing means that my palm would be blocking the air hole. I remedied this by using a air flow controller from Micky, which enable me to position the GS air hole facing the back/inner curved wall and then securing tightly the GS with the top ring of the air flow controller. Just wish that Innokin had perfected the rotational wheel. My GS sticks out more with the air flow controller but no big deal.

I got an Evic - it lasted a week. Juice leaked into the electronics and fried the screen and basically killed it. The vendor said "not my problem" and that was the end of the story and Baht 3000 plus the beautiful tubes I had ordered from Pink Mule are just decorating my vape table.

My advice - Don't get an Evic. The SVD or Vamo are far more proven products at this entry level.

Stuff like the eVic, I just don't like. It has alot of fancy technology in it (like you can also download programing for it and whatnot) but, really what's the point? All that fancy stuff just means more stuff that can go wrong.

And I must say the thing felt like shit in my hands. It was so flimsy.
