Hi guys. I am just about ready to buy my first mechanical mod, and was hoping I could pick some brains and get some advice, I was looking at the black panzer. Or the stingray 1:1. I'm pretty sure that I won't get into much sub ohming. I was just looking for a strong reliable good mod. All help or suggestions on anything else would be appreciated.

I love my brass Stingray. I bought it from Big. In the beginning it did have a problem that the fire button didn't go so smooth and sometimes got stuck, but after a few days of using it this problem vanished and it works great!

I would recomend this one to the Nemesis Mod, because it is just impossible with the Nemesis mod to unscrew your attey without unscrewing the top part of the mod also! You need pliers to get that part of!

Sorry, I don't have any experience with the Panzer mod.....

I also have the brass Stingray from Big and I love it! Works like a charm.
I also have a brass Nemesis and for me, that isn't a problem. With the top button and fire button adjustments, I know I am getting a solid connection.

I think there is a contradiction here between Mechanical Mod and reliable.
In my experience I never really came actions one.
They all worked, of course, but some had me so frustrated they got thrown out of the window.
If you are set on one, I would make sure it has a spring loaded center pin that you don't have to mess around with every time you change your atty.
I once had a mod69 and after not being able to get it to fire I ended up screaming in frustration.
I've got a brass smok magneto if you want to try it. It's one of the simplest mech mods out there.
