4 Firsts ...

1. My first ever build
2. My first ever time vaping off an RDA
3. First time sub ohming
4. First time using a mechanical Mod

I am sure this ain't the prettiest build but I feel quite proud of myself to be honest.

In less than 3 months I have gone from being an MVP2 user using Chinese made e-liquids to having as my main set up a Provari 3 with an Aspire Nautilus Tanks and now rebuilding an RDA and vaping it using a mechanical mod.

I never thought I would be interested in rebuilding or sub ohming but today I managed to do both as well as use a Mechanical Mod for the first time and an RDA.

I used pre made coils from FastTech to create a dual coil build on a Derringer Clone RDA same as the one @Scratchy said he had bought of them and an SMPL clone bought off Ebay in the UK. I used the coil master kit to help with the build. The dual build read at 0.63 ohms. I never had a particular target in mind might I say with regards to how many ohms I wanted the coil to read.

I only saw dual builds before on the Derringer in You Tube videos 'although I am aware single coil builds are possible' so I stuck to doing what I had seen several times and attempted to repeat the same.
















Decided to drip South Coast Vape's renowned Nipple Juice which has its own 50+ page thread on Planet of the Vapes and it tasted out of this world even better than in a tank however at 12mg I felt slightly dizzy after a few vapes 5555.

Oh yeah and Battery used was an 18650 Samsung 25R5 (Green Model) battery.

Of course none of this would have happened without the help and guidance of none other than @Siam Diesel whom I would like to thank very much and of course this beloved forum and its members especially the main contributors.

I am subscribed to a few UK forums and some international ones but Thailand Vapers is the one I use the most and everyone in here seems like one extended family.

I was petrified before I put the battery into the mod and it took me at least an hour to muster up the courage to just try as I always had a vision of an explosion going off or something if I did without having had it demonstrated by someone in front of me first or doing it under supervision.

I survived

 

You have every right to be proud! It's quite a step up you have made from an MVP2 setup and it's good to see you knocked out a very solid build on your first go and enjoying the sub-ohm experience! Better than I did on my first attempt that's for sure. Much better juice than I ran on my first RDA too.

Only joking, I've had a couple myself but on both devices I was acutely aware of the possibility.

One was with the Sat22. I can't remember what the initial concern was but after screwing the atty onto a mechanical the 510 positive was pushed up inside allowing the negative to also make contact with the battery but as I was aware for another reason (which I can't remember) I got away with a couple of scorch marks on my VTC5, which I am still using.

The other time was with the Lancia and again I was aware that the AFC plugs could come loose, and one did on the third pull, melting itself to the positive post.

That's spooky...I've just the Derringer as well...but stuck to single coil (1.3ohm) on my Vaporshark. And you're right, totally different flavours...I'm actually enjoying the Malay juices now instead of been overpowered by them.
